Research into the biophysical mechanisms underlying the functioning of particular biological systems on various levels of organization: molecules (in particular, proteins, molecules of bioprotectors); cells (in particular, heart cells); organs (in particular, visual organs); organisms and populations, as well as population communities (in particular, hydrobiont communities). Particular objects of research change with time but the general principle — combination of data obtained in the course of experiments or observations with theoretical generalizations based on the analysis of these data — remains invariable.
