Determination of the number of reactive oxygen species in rat aorta by the oxidation of dichlorodihydrofluorescein, of the activity of the angiotensin-converting enzyme in rat aorta; isolation of mononuclear cells from white blood cells in Ficoll density gradient and the determination of their attachment to plastic; determination of the activity of transport proteins in cells by the rate of efflux of rhodamine 123 and calcein ester from cells.
