The main directions of scientific works by the Laboratory: research in single cells and in vivo into endogenous exothermic processes in micro- and nanovolumes inside the living cell by means of supersensitive temperature measurement methods. Use of ultralocal thermal activation for manipulation by clinical parameters of ion channels and synaptic transfer of excitable cells. Use of micro- and nanoparticles as containers for delivery of biologically active substances into mammalian cells and tissues.
Methods
A unique system was developed for creating local temperature gradients. The system consists of an optical nanoheater and temperature-sensitive fluorescent molecular probes, which enable temperature changes and measurements in microvolumes with a millisecond resolution. Development of effective methods for formation and address delivery of micro- and nanoparticles into mammalian cells and tissues.
